COUNTDOWN with us!

Faculty Focus

Denise DeLuca and Trisha Bauman (both ISSP Board Members) are excited to invite you to join us for TEDxISSP, a COUNTDOWN event!

The event will be held online Saturday 24 April 2021, noon-2:00pmCT. Registration is free and open to the public. It is a wonderful way for you to celebrate Earth Week with the MA in Sustainable Design and ISSP communities, and to learn from and engage with international sustainability leaders. You can also live stream the event at the MA in Sustainable Design Facebook page.

Across three sessions—covering the Urgency of the moment, the Transformation needed, and the Action that it will take to solve the crisis—you’ll hear from some of the world’s most prominent climate leaders in a set of short TED videos. The videos will be followed by live breakout room discussions with Honorees from the ISSP Hall of Fame who are luminaries in the sustainability profession. In addition, we’ll be enjoying the talents of special guest Liza Donnelly.

The pairing between Countdown and ISSP is a natural fit. COUNTDOWN is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. As the leading organization of sustainability professionals, ISSP convenes the change-makers who devise and deliver on solutions across sectors and around the world every day.

Now, as part of COUNTDOWN, we will bring our experts’ visions directly to you — and, just as importantly, you will have the chance to share your insights in dialogue with the sustainability community at TEDxISSP.

So let’s talk solutions. Let’s move from urgency to action as we co-develop a roadmap for transformation. Let’s #JoinTheCountdown.
