Faculty Focus: Director Receives International Teaching Award

Innovation & Entrepreneurship

ECIETeachingAward2017

I am honored to have recently received a prestigious teaching award. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Teaching Excellence Award competition is part of the annual European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE) that was held at the Novancia Business School in Paris, France in late September 2017.

I was nominated -along with 30 others from 13 countries- for the award in spring 2017 and wrote a case history about the Sustainability Toolkit and Instructor’s Guide that I developed with colleagues at VentureWell. (Anyone can download the Toolkit for free here.) I presented my case history to a panel of judges and an audience of conference goers along with 9 other finalists and received a teaching award along with Mohd Sirhajwan Idek from Malaysia, Dmitry Shaytan from Russia, and David Gibson of the United Kingdom. It is such a privilege to be recognized for my work along with others from across the globe that are each trying to make a positive impact.
