Innovate to “Deliver the Good Life”!

Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Come join faculty and alumni of MCAD’s MA in Sustainable Design program at SB’19, Sustainable Brands flagship conference where we’re facilitating a set of  Innovation Labs. You’ll get to meet and creatively engage with new people, as well as industry’s sustainability leaders, and work together to innovate creative ideas and solutions for Delivering the Good Life!

Jeremy Faludi and John Longchamps will help you leverage Whole System Mapping in the GOOD CIRCULARITY Innovation Lab to explore how we can transform our economy from a linear “cradle to grave” approach, to a circular “cradle to cradle” approach.

Shanna Ruyle will be guiding you with circular design to deliver GOOD CITIES. You’ll be exploring: How do we make our cities healthier places to live as they continue to grow?

Denise DeLuca will be facilitating the GOOD EARTH Innovation Lab where you’ll use Design Thinking to generate innovative ideas around the question: How might ‘Brands’ collaborate on scalable solutions for reversing global biodiversity decline?

Join Jessica Papa in the GOOD MATERIALS Innovation Lab to explore how innovative brands are using new technology, materials and processes to make, source and consume the products of the future.

Craig Johnson will facilitate the GOOD PLASTICS Innovation Lab. There you’ll use sustainable design techniques to explore how brands can re-envision plastic in our lives  to make this everyday product more sustainable.

Holly Robbins will be working with you in the GOOD SUPPLY CHAIN Innovation Lab using Design Thinking and Life Cycle tools to discover how to implement circular principles while overcoming barriers to improve sustainability practices with suppliers.

Each Innovation Lab runs 1:30-3:00pm Tuesday and Wednesday.  Come to innovate, and while there, ask us about MCAD’s fully online MA in Sustainable Design program.

Can’t make the Labs? No problem! You can learn how to use Empathic Action, Whole System Mapping, Biomimicry, and Regenerative Systems to Deliver the Good Life by exploring our FREE mini-courses!
