Michele Moore

BFA, Communication Design + History of Art Minor, Pratt Institute in New York

Michele Moore is an art director with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), where she strives to communicate to more than 9.8 million people every day. She has been part of Metro’s award-winning in-house Design Studio since 2005, designing everything from billboards to belt buckles in both print and digital formats. Prior to Metro she worked with a wide range of companies including start-ups, travel, public service, corporate and entertainment, including Disney Online and The Jim Henson Company.

Michele has earned an AAS degree in Commercial Art from SUNY Sullivan and a BFA in Communication Design with a History of Art Minor from Pratt Institute in New York. She is GPRO certified and an Envision Sustainability Professional. She is also a longtime member of the American Institute for Graphic Arts (AIGA) and has earned an AIGA Leadership and Team Management certificate.

Michele has enthusiastically taken on the role of resident tree-hugger and has a personal vendetta against vinyl. She regularly champions sustainable practices within her workplace, including pursuing alternative materials, reducing print dimensions and quantities, and finding ways to reduce waste. She is committed to innovating, improving and expanding best practices within her company and throughout Los Angeles.
