Stephanie Hebert

BFA in Integrated Design

Stephanie Hebert earned a BFA in Integrated Design from Finlandia University in 2015 and is focusing on materials management in the furniture industry and the impact construction and demolition have on related material waste as an MA candidate. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, her career experience includes project coordination and architectural design at OHM Advisors in Michigan, Construction Estimation at Walsh and MEP design at PRVN Consultants in Iowa, and she currently works as a product designer of flood barriers in environmental risk management at PS Industries in North Dakota. Her goal is to expand her knowledge of sustainable design practices and apply these practices as an Industrial Designer and aspiring furniture designer. Inspired by Ray and Charles Eames’ mentality of “What works good is better than what looks good, because what works good lasts,” she has focused on adapting her design process to find a happy-medium between aesthetically pleasing and functional products, spaces, and furniture combined with safe and sustainable design practices.
