Stephanie Wyler received her BFA in Integrated Design at Finlandia University in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is interested in the implications of modularity in the realm of furniture and product design. Stephanie worked her way through college as a restaurant/bar manager and later gained experience in her field as a project coordinator in the world of architectural design where she utilized digital rendering tools to promote space planning at OHM Advisors – an architecture, engineering, and community advancement firm. Born and raised in the Milwaukee, WI area, Stephanie recently relocated to Iowa City, IA where she is employed as a construction estimator at Walsh Door & Security while pursuing her MA in Sustainable Design at MCAD. Her goal is to expand her knowledge of sustainable design practices and to realign her career focus as an Industrial Designer. Her favorite designers are Ray and Charles Eames. Their mentality of “What works good is better than what looks good, because what works good lasts,” is a quote that inspires her design process as she strives to find a happy-medium between aesthetically pleasing and functional products, spaces, and furniture.
