Submit your Biomimicry Global Design Challenge design solutions and to win the $100,000 prize.

The clock is ticking away and we are drawing nearer to the May 11, 2016 submission deadline for the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge.

In case you’ve missed it, there are offering more awards this year than before in both our Open and Student categories. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to submit your nature-inspired design for a chance at winning the $100,000 Ray C. Anderson Foundation “Ray of Hope” Prize and a multitude of other cash prizes.

Note: The submission platform will not accept late entries. The Biomimicry Institute recommends submitting your materials at least a day in advance of the deadline in order to avoid last-minute issues with bandwidth or other technical glitches.

The final submission deadline is: May 11, 2016 at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time (GMT-7).

Cindy Gilbert / Former Director

Cindy is founder and director of Alula Consulting which specializes in innovative online and sustainability education projects for educational institutions, non-profits, and corporations. Recent clients include The Lemelson Foundation, VentureWell, Green Building Research Institute, University of Montana, PBS, Silverback Films, and more. Cindy has taught numerous courses and workshops, around the world and online, in the fields of biology, sustainability and biomimicry.

Cindy was the founding director of MCAD’s Sustainable Design program for 7.5 years which is home to the fully online, multidisciplinary MA in Sustainable Design (MASD) that is the first of its kind in the world. In this role, she fostered a culture of awareness and creativity through sustainable, innovative and collaborative design. Before MCAD, she served for nearly four years as the founding director of university education at the Biomimicry Institute where she developed and managed all higher education programs, including the professional certification program, annual education summits, affiliate and fellows programs, and design challenges.
