Jake Hvistendahl is lead designer and project manager for a large start-up aquaponics venture, Praxis Foods in St. Paul, MN. Jake draws heavily from his experience in industrial building renovation, home energy management and architectural salvage while redesigning industrial spaces to support controlled environment agriculture. His current project is to incorporate various high stocking density aquaculture and vertical hydroponic systems into an old industrial complex in the city. He earned a BS in Political Science from St. Olaf College and he graduated from MCAD with a MA in Sustainable Design in 2014. Jake is based in Minnesota.
